May be specifically required for the ATR-CHEK1 pathway in the replication checkpoint induced by hydroxyurea or ultraviolet light. Subunit: Interacts with TIMELESS, which impairs TIMELESS self-association. Interacts with RPA2, PRDX2, MCM6 and MCM7. Subcellular Location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Post-translational modifications: Phosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR. Similarity: Belongs to the CSM3 family.
