C3 plays a central role in the activation of the complement system. Its processing by C3 convertase is the central reaction in both classical and alternative complement pathways. After activation C3b can bind covalently, via its reactive thioester, to cell surface carbohydrates or immune aggregates. SWISS: P01024 Gene ID: 718 補體(complement，C)是由近20種不同血清蛋白組成的多分子系統(tǒng)，約占血清球蛋白總量的10％。補體在血清中的含量相對穩(wěn)定，不因免疫應(yīng)答而增加，僅在某些病理情況下才會發(fā)生波動。補體系統(tǒng)的基本組成包括9種血清蛋白成分，按發(fā)現(xiàn)的先后順序而分別命名為C1-9。C3是一種β球蛋白，是補體中含量最多、作用最重要的一個組分，是補體兩條主要激活途徑的中心環(huán)節(jié)，有重要的生物活性作用，可在肝臟中產(chǎn)生。C3蛋白由α、β2條肽鏈經(jīng)二硫鍵連接而成，本產(chǎn)品能特異性的識別C3的β鏈。 |
